Poem entry
Grand Fantasia
Grand fantasia is a online game
And u can do a lot to get fame
U can fight monsters, train sprites or do a quest
To become the best.
Lvling is sometimes hard
But u should always be your own guard
U can have different fighting styles
But always be someone who smiles
U can choose different skills.
One is a healing power.
If u have a cleric sometimes there will be thrills
There are nearly always specials event ouhrs

Song of the Sprites
The sweet Song of the Sprites can be heard,
throughout the land of Saphael.
From the darkest corners of the Black Swamp,
to the highest heights of the Belcar Plateau.
The Song of the Sprites resounds loudly,
like desperate ocean waves coming home to the shore.
The masters and their little servants prepare for the journey;
the song guides them home.

A Night Thought
All night long and every night,
When my papa puts out the light,
I see the people marching by,
As plain as day, before my eye.
Armies,emperors and kings,
All carrying different kinds of things,
And marching in so grand a way,
You never saw the like by day.
So fine the show was never seen
At the great circus on the green;
For every kind of beast and man
Is marching in that caravan.
At first they move a kinda slow,
But still the faster on they go,
And still beside them close I keep
Until we reach the town of Sleep
All night long and every night,
When my papa puts out the light,
I see the people marching by,
As plain as day, before my eye.
Armies,emperors and kings,
All carrying different kinds of things,
And marching in so grand a way,
You never saw the like by day.
So fine the show was never seen

Re: ***CONTEST*** senescent's "First Poem" contest
Red drops falling freely from love's red rose.
It bleeds for its loss, unable to maintain control.
Slowly sinking in all its sorrow, it stops fighting.
Raising its leaves for all that might keep it alive.
Falling faster, the drops turn to a deep red.
Begging to live, the rose turns to the sun for life.
It shuts it out, the sky turning a dark despairing black.
Pleading and shuddering, freezing under its harsh hate.
Finally for one terrifying second, it rises for one last breath.
Drowning in love's betrayal...never to return.

Drowning in love's betrayal...never to return.
Re: ***CONTEST*** senescent's "First Poem" contest
Memories rise like toxic fumes consuming my ever tortured soul.
Returning once again to lay claim on my ever pending happiness.
Thoughts once banished from my head, reappear like festering wounds on my bleeding heart.
Trying to push them away, to keep them from eating away my very existence.
Longing for just a glimpse of how I may rid myself of this cancerous disease.
Dragging me further and further down into a sea of utter despair.
Grasping and clawing my way up. I reach the top.
Broken and dry I crawl toward any sign of hope that might take me in its embrace.
Knowing that all I have to give is the love that drains from my darkened heart.
I weep for the loneliness that grips the very depths of my soul.
Just wanting one person to understand, to accept, to believe in me...I let go.

Knowing that all I have to give is the love that drains from my darkened heart.
I weep for the loneliness that grips the very depths of my soul.
Just wanting one person to understand, to accept, to believe in me...I let go.
Memories of my Future
three simple words,
(only those three)
never uttered, never heard,
(I need to hear them, please)
only whispered within wished memories.
An eternal chase
(I'll find them soon, my dear)
but not in this place
(Why aren't you here?)
only found within sacred memories.
That's not you
(Where have you gone?)
but remaining are very few
(Find me again, I don't have long)
of these treasured memories.
Only one is left
(have you waited for me?)
but that is not who I kept
(I came to find you. See?)
hidden within secret memories.
Yeah... kind of a lovey-dovey poem. You can read it in a few ways, but those are for you to figure out

Re: ***CONTEST*** senescent's "First Poem" contest
My Last Words
Let's contend no more, Love,
Strive nor weep:
All be as before, Love,
---Only sleep!
What so wild as words are?
I and thou
In debate, as birds are,
Hawk on bough!
See the creature stalking
While we speak!
Hush and hide the talking,
Cheek on cheek!
What so false as truth is,
False to thee?
Where the serpent's tooth is
Shun the tree—
Where the apple reddens
Never pry---
Lest we lose our Edens,
Eve and I.
Be a god and hold me
With a charm!
Be a man and fold me
With thine arm!
Teach me, only teach, Love
As I ought
I will speak thy speech, Love,
Think thy thought—
Meet, if thou require it,
Both demands,
Laying flesh and spirit
In thy hands.
That shall be to-morrow
Not to-night:
I must bury sorrow
Out of sight:
--Must a little weep, Love,
(Foolish me!)
And so fall asleep, Love,
Loved by thee.
Let's contend no more, Love,
Strive nor weep:
All be as before, Love,
---Only sleep!
What so wild as words are?
I and thou
In debate, as birds are,
Hawk on bough!

Re: ***CONTEST*** senescent's "First Poem" contest
Love Unexpressed
The sweetest notes among the human heart-strings are dull with rust;
The sweetest chords, adjusted by the angels, are clogged with dust;
We pipe and pipe again our dreary music upon the self-same strains,
While sounds of crime, and fear, and desolation, come back in sad refrains.
On through the world we go, an army marching with listening ears,
Each longing, sighing, for the heavenly music he never hears;
Each longing, sighing, for a word of comfort, a word of tender praise,
A word of love, to cheer the endless journey of earth's hard, busy days.
They love us, and we know it; this suffices for reason's share.
Why should they pause to give that love expression with gentle care?
Why should they pause? But still our hearts are aching with all the gnawing pain
Of hungry love that longs to hear the music, and longs and longs in vain.
We love them, and they know it; if we falter, with fingers numb,
Among the unused strings of love's expression, the notes are dumb.
We shrink within ourselves in voiceless sorrow, leaving the words unsaid,
And, side by side with those we love the dearest, in silence on we tread.
Thus on we tread, and thus each heart in silence its fate fulfils,
Waiting and hoping for the heavenly music beyond the distant hills.
The only difference of the love in heaven from love on earth below Is:
Here we love and know not how to tell it, and there we all shall know.

"The Sea" by Sanvarlan
Upon the shore, a soft serene sun glows
A man stands alone, watching time's ebb and flow.
He can only see the darkness ahead, a churning sea filled with so much dread
where no others would dare to tread.
From the water a calm song begins to play.
"Come here where you and all others shall stay"
If he should stay, he'll never learn. If he should go, he'll never return.
At least he hopes he shall not burn. This is a truth no one can discern.

Love Of A Poet
I am an artist
And in my hand I hold my brush:
Ball-point and filled to the brim
Ready to burst with black ink
Pointed lips kiss snow-white skin
And leave trails of dark lust
Spelling out beauty and love
Across pale palms and thighs
Finished
Hungry, thirsty, needy
But, finished. And my eyes look
at what I carved into paper.
